10 best European football apps and soccer apps for Android!

This is the featured image for the best soccer apps and European football apps for android
European football (soccer) is a massive sport. It’s arguably the most popular sport in the world. There are a bunch of leagues, tons of teams, and thousands upon thousands of players. It’s almost an act of futility keeping track of all of them. Almost. There are a surprising number of outstanding European football apps / soccer apps out there. It was honestly hard to narrow it down to just ten, but we did it. Here are the best European football apps and soccer apps for Android!

BeSoccer

Price: Free / Up to $4.53
DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY
BeSoccer is a popular and broad soccer app. It boasts support for most of the top leagues in the world, including Premier League, MLS, and others. The app also features push notifications for games, weekly schedules, live individual and team stats, commentary, and more. It all comes in a clean, Material Design UI. There really isn't much wrong with this one. They're even open to adding new leagues upon request.

ESPN

Price: Free / $4.99 per month / $49.99 per month
DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY
ESPN is an excellent soccer app for North American soccer fans. It offers the usual array of news, insights, and opinion pieces. ESPN also boasts ESPN+, a streaming service with most sports. That includes soccer. It makes ESPN+ the cheapest option for watching MLS soccer on your mobile device. Their coverage could be better. However, there are other, better news apps for soccer fans. It's the ESPN+ support of MLS that really makes this worth mentioning.

Feedly

Price: Free
DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY
Feedly is an RSS app. It lets you follow a bunch of various blogs, sites, YouTube channels, and other online media. Thus, you can build your own library of football content from the blogs you actually like. The app is also clean, keeps track of what you read and haven't read, and it also syncs cross-platform with computers and iOS. It requires a little work at the start. However, a fully furnished feed will only have the news you want. Feedly is also completely free with no in-app purchases.

Forza Football

Price: Free

Forza Football is another great football app with a ton of support for various leagues. It features over 400 leagues in total, complete with scores, updates, and schedules. It lets you follow the leagues and teams you care about. The app also includes polls, pre-match lineups, and more. It's not as clean as something like BeSoccer. However, the quality of the information is pretty good. It's also completely free with no in-app purchases. There are some ads, though.

FotMob

Price: Free / Up to $3.49
DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY
FotMob is another competitive soccer app on mobile. It covers most leagues and all of the big leagues. Additionally, it covers the basics such as lineups, stats, goals, cards, substitutions, schedules, and more. The UI is clean with Material Design. That's good news because this app has a lot of information. We've seen complaints of push notifications not working from time to time. However, the app seems otherwise stable.

Onefootball Live Soccer Scores

Price: Free
DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY
Onefootball Live Soccer Scores puts its description in its name. It's a source for scores, updates, highlights, and schedules. This one leans toward an American audience with emphasis on U.S. soccer. It does cover over 200 leagues internationally. However, there are apps that cover more leagues better. We mostly recommend this one to U.S. soccer fans with an interest in the world of soccer. The app is occasionally sluggish and slow to update some leagues. It's otherwise pretty good.

Reddit

Price: Free / $3.99 per month / $39.99 per year
DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY
Reddit is a decent app for soccer fans. It's not a soccer app on the face of it, but it has a lot of soccer communities. Most leagues, teams, and even some players have their own subreddits. It's a good way to connect to fellow fans, discuss news, and trash talk opposing fans (keep it civil, though). We have the stock Reddit app here. There are a ton of third party options. The app is entirely free. There is an optional subscription with some additional features. It also removes the ads. However, the free version should work for most people.

SofaScore

Price: Free / $2.99
DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY
SofaScore is a recommendation from a couple of our staff members here at Android Authority. It's a sports app that covers more than just soccer. The app boasts live scores and updates for both European and American football, basketball, hockey, motorsports, baseball, and more. It has an emphasis on North American sports fans. The app also does a great job displaying content considering that there is so much of it to display. This is definitely one of the best apps for sports fans, period.

Twitter

Price: Free

Twitter is a horrible place most of the time. However, it excels at being great for sports, and that includes soccer. You can follow various official league accounts as well as individual teams, players, and most sports blogs. Thus, you get scores and updates in one spot. A live tracker is more effective for scores, though. You can also interact with other fans on Twitter. However, most people aren't on their best behavior on the social platform and that makes socializing difficult. It's still good as a consistent and customizable feed of content from a variety of soccer organizations, individuals, and blogs, though.

Official soccer apps

Price: Free (usually)

There are a metric ton of official soccer apps and European football apps out there. That includes individual league apps, team apps, and even some official tournament apps. This gives a more concentrated focus on news and events surrounding specific parts of the sport and we recommend them for people who only want to follow some of it. There are even some players with official apps. I was more than a little amused to find the official Messi app. This sport is a trip sometimes. Most of these apps are completely free. Some of them may have advertising.
