Get a free Google Home Mini with every Nokia 7 Plus during May in the UK

HMD Global announced a whole bunch of Nokia phones at MWC this year including the gorgeous Nokia 8 Sirocco and the nostalgia-baiting Nokia 8110 4G. For my money, though, the potential sleeper hit of Nokia’s 2018 line-up is the Nokia 7 Plus – a sub-flagship device with a mid-range asking price that we now know is heading to the UK on May 2.

The device, which is essentially a beefed-up version of the Nokia 7 which launched exclusively in China in late 2017, will retail for £349.99 at selected retailers. As an added bonus, those that pick up the phone within the first month will also get a free Google Home Mini smart speaker.

You can pre-order the Black variant of the Nokia 7 Plus from today at Amazon (which currently shows an early April 30 release date), although it’s worth noting that there’s no mention of the Home Mini offer.

This may be a code redemption offer much like the one Google ran for the Pixel 2, but HMD Global hasn’t actually confirmed which retailers will run the promotion just yet. We’ve asked for more details and will update this post when we know for sure.

As a quick refresher, the Nokia 7 Plus sports a 6-inch Full HD+ LCD display and features an aluminum body coated with ceramic paint. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 256GB), and a huge 3,800mAh battery.

The Nokia 7 Plus runs Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with Android One, which means users will avoid any unnecessary bloatware and should get the latest OS updates as quickly as possible. On the camera front, the 7 Plus has a dual-camera on the rear with a 12MP standard and a 13MP telephoto sensor combo and Carl Zeiss optics, as well as a 16MP selfie camera. You can browse the specs in full here.

If you want to secure your device early, hit the button below to head over to Amazon’s pre-order page.
